This article covers the step-by-step procedure to connect your Azure Subscription account with the Human Managed Platform for various use cases related to cloud security, cloud scaling, and cloud management.
Prerequisites
User should have Azure Administrative Access permission.
Step 1: Create a service request for Human Managed to onboard your Azure Subscription
- Submit a request
- In the Subject, type or select Connect Azure account
- In the body, type the following details of your Azure subscription:
- Account Name
- Tenant ID
- Once the ticket has been accepted by Human Managed and the ticket status has been updated, follow the next steps. This will take approximately 24 hours.
Step 2: Upload Terraform Script on Bash
- After your service request is processed, HM will send a link to download Application Registration Terraform Script.
- Download the script then open Azure Cloud Shell.
- If you are on 'PowerShell' view, switch to 'Bash'
- Remove any existing terraform (*.tf) or terraform state files (*.tfstate).
- Upload Terraform on Bash.
- On the Bash screen, click on the “Upload” button and select the downloaded “Terraform Script”.
- Execute this command in the same directory where the terraform file has been uploaded and enter “Yes” when prompted: terraform init && terraform apply
- On the Bash screen, click on the “Upload” button and select the downloaded “Terraform Script”.
- Navigate to the “Consent Link” and grant admin consent.
- Navigate to the “consent_link” received on the Azure Cloud shell.
- Under “Configured permissions”, click on “Grant admin consent for Default Directory”. Click on the “Yes” button in Grant admin consent confirmation.
- Navigate to the “consent_link” received on the Azure Cloud shell.
- In the same service request ticket, copy application_id and client_secret then send the details to HM.
- Wait for a response from HM within 24 hours to confirm connection of your Azure accounts with Human Managed platform.
